Hi, I’m Lisa. In the professional world, I’m a product-thinking design executive building human-centered, business-impacting products by empowering teams of amazing and diverse people. In the early hours, I’m a distance runner exploring the streets of San Francisco. Though they sound like different worlds, these things are more alike, my friend, than they are unalike – to borrow from Maya Angelou.

Who I am as a leader is who I am as a runner.

First, I love to partner with others – on the whiteboard or on the trails – reaching new levels by having someone there to push me. I’m happy to meet people where they are and coach from behind or set the pace and pull them along with me. I believe we’re better together.

Second, I set goals and create plans – often with high standards. If we know where we’re going and how to get there, we can focus on velocity and execution. Sometimes I miss – like the elusive 4-hour marathon or the failed product bet – but I learn, adjust, and bounce back better.

I’ve driven design for technical B2B SaaS products to consumer hardware and software. I’ve scaled multidisciplinary teams to 30+ across product, brand, and research. I’ve built design practices – taking a team from being the hands to being the hearts and minds. I’ve taught other leaders how to build and grow diverse and inclusive teams. I’ve run on both sides of the Pacific and finished a marathon in two countries in one day.

And I have so much more to do. Do it with me.
